DVD-RAM (DVD–Random Access Memory) is a disc specification presented in 1996 by the DVD Forum. DVD-RAM media have been used in computers as well as camcorders and personal video recorders since 1998.
DVD-RAM Discs in Cartridge are best for data backup because the actual discs are not handled by hand, freeing it from scratches, dirt and fingerprints due to handling. The Panasonic DVD-RAM drive inside will accept cartridges in both 4.7GB and 9.4GB capacity.
