Panasonic UJ-875A is a Slim DVD Super Multi Burner for secure storage of computer data, authoring and backup of DVD movies, audio/music, photos and large digital files.
Use this Slim DVD drive on laptops and notebooks to read and write standard DVD-RAM DVD-R, DVD+R and CD media, including double layer DVD discs.
UJ-875A DVD drive uses Slimline SATA, the connection type for the latest generation of optical media drives. Slimline SATA is the data connection standard for 12.7mm optical drives in new generation notebooks such as Macbook and Windows laptops.

The Panasonic UJ-875A is an internal DVD drive with a slot-loading mechanism. It is 12.7mm in thickness, perfect size for MacBook and Windows laptops. It features a Slimline SATA connection cable for faster data transfers.
- Slimline SATA: drive utilizes the new, faster slimline SATA data connection.
- Slot Load: featuring button and software eject mechanism.
- DVD Burner: read and write most standard CD and DVD media, including bare DVD-RAM discs.
This internal DVD drive has a Slimline SATA data connection. Use Digistor's Standard to SLIMLINE SATA adapter cable to use this data on older motherboards with standard SATA only. Digistor offers a myriad of Slimline SATA power and cable solutions.
This Slim DVD burner is a great replacement for failing superdrives on MacBook Pro and Mac Mini systems. Superdrives also have slot-load mechanisms but a lot of Apple users have reported problems with superdrives on their MacBook Pro laptops.
